Collection: Tactical Flashlights

Things to Consider When Selecting a Self-Defense Flashlight

  1. Small and compact: While a bigger flashlight will make a more effective weapon, there is a trade-off between size and functionality. Being compact has benefits too. Consider your own circumstance to decide which is best for you.
  2. Lights out: For a tactical flashlight to be effective, it must generate enough light to confuse the attacker. Look for a self-defense flashlight with at least 120 lumens.
  3. Waterproof: A tactical flashlight should work in all weather. Waterproofing is necessary so that it does not get damaged even when used in damp and rainy environments.
  4. The structure is robust: Your tactical flashlight should be made of a durable material that is difficult to bend, break, or even damage.
  5. LED bulb type: LED bulbs are the best choice. Incandescent bulbs are not very energy efficient. LED bulbs have a much longer lifespan than incandescent bulbs, which reduces battery consumption. They are also capable of generating more light with the available power source.
  6. Lighting mode: A great tactical flashlight requires a flash mode. Then it can sometimes blink very quickly. If the light is bright, it creates a confusing effect on someone who is caught with it in their eyes.
  7. Battery: The type of battery used for flashlights affects its battery life, light output, and overall performance. Several types of batteries can be used in flashlights.
